About Me

Arnold Huffman - Milton Town Councillor

What I bring to Town Council & the Milton Community

I bring my many years of experience in the business world to council and the experiences I have gained through over 30 years as a community volunteer and leader, to help the Town move forward, while ensuring the well-being of all Miltonians is respected and cared for.

I have worked diligently to fulfill the promises I have made and, in so doing, I am responsible for such positive changes as increasing the parking limit from 3 to 5 hours while responding to many other more local needs such as community lighting and sidewalks in Drury Park. I also successfully championed expanded Library hours including Sunday openings, Thompson Road tree planting and the completion of the Pedestrian Bridge over CP Railway tracks, 5 years earlier than planned, improving safety and neighbourhood connectivity. The Velodrome, new and renewed parks and trails, The Education Village and Laurier University are other initiatives that I strongly supported – and continue to support throughout my terms of council.

I’ve also maintained my dedication to serving the community and currently serve as the Board Vice Chair of Milton Transitional Housing, partnering with Habitat for Humanity Halton; a coach for the Milton Special Olympics Golf Team; and as a volunteer for several other worthy organizations in Milton, including the Salvation Army. I assisted them in securing a new location for their Family Services and Food Bank programs.

I will continue to keep my original commitment to the residents of Milton, and to the Town of Milton as a whole, by continuing to use my experiences to energetically serve Miltonians to the fullest, while ensuring that their well-being is always paramount.
